How to Choose Your WW2 Replicas

Start with the military you're interested in: the collection is organized by country. The German Weapons from World War II include, among others, the Mauser K98, the MG34, the Luger P08 and its variants, and the Mauser C96. The WW2 American Weapons include the M1 Garand, the USM1 carbines, the Thompson, the M3 Grease Gun, and the Colt M1911A1. The British Weapons from World War II feature the Lee-Enfield rifle, the Sten Mark II, and the Webley revolver. If you're looking for a specific type of firearm—rifle, pistol, or submachine gun—from any country, check out our replicas of World War II weapons.

Next, choose the size. A handgun fits on a shelf: 24 cm for a Colt M1911A1, 32 cm for a Mauser C96, and 25.5 to 34.5 cm for a Luger, depending on the model. A rifle requires a wall or a rack: from 90 cm for a USM1 carbine to 113 cm for the Lee-Enfield, and the MG34 measures 122 cm. Several models are also available in a weathered and aged finish, such as the M1 Garand, the Thompson, and the Mauser K98.

💡 Did you know?

Contrary to popular belief, not all soldiers in the same army carried the same weapon: each army used different models depending on the unit and mission. On the American side, the USM1 carbine—lighter than the M1 Garand—was intended for officers and support troops, while its M1A1 version with a folding stock was designed for paratroopers. This is why collectors appreciate display cases that bring together several complementary reproductions.

The Must-Haves of the Collection

Visit M1 Garand rifle, American, and the Mauser K98 rifle, German-made, with a solid-wood stock and barrel, are often the first pieces in a collection. The Colt M1911A1 comes in several finishes, ranging from Colt M1911A1, .45 caliber the disassemblable version, and the Luger P08 in standard, Navy, and Artillery versions. The Thompson M1928A1 and the Soviet PPSh-41, which comes with its straps, makes the display case look bigger.

📜 A Moment in History

The PPSh-41 was designed in 1941 by Georgy Shpagin as a simpler and less expensive version of the PPD-40. Made primarily of stamped sheet steel and wood, it could be produced quickly: the first units rolled off the assembly line in November 1941, and the USSR produced more than five million of them by 1945. This is the Soviet piece in the collection, reproduced by Denix with a stock and forend made of solid wood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are WW2 replica weapons functional?

No. Denix replicas are not suitable for firing. Most can be cocked and fired, and many have a removable magazine, which enhances their realism when displayed; some mechanisms are locked in place, such as the cylinder on the Webley revolver. They are intended exclusively for decoration, collecting, and historical reenactment.

What brand are the replicas being offered?

The replica weapons in the collection are Denix reproductions, made of zamak, ABS, and solid wood, depending on the model. Some military accessories come from other manufacturers: two of the M24 grenades, for example, are made by Deepeeka and manufactured in India. The brand and materials are listed on each product page.

Which replica should I choose to start my collection?

The M1 Garand, the Luger P08, and the Colt M1911A1 are among the models most prized by collectors. A handgun, ranging from 24 to 35 cm, can easily be displayed on a shelf or in a display case. A rifle, which is about 110 cm long, requires more space: measure your wall before ordering.

Can you buy and transport a World War II replica?

Metal replicas are restricted to adults. When transporting a replica, always keep it in its box or in a carrying case; never let it be visible in public, as it closely resembles the original. At trade shows and conventions, metal replicas are usually prohibited, and sometimes even wooden ones: check with the organizer.
