Replica of Saruman's Candlestick from The Lord of the Rings
Saruman's candlestick is a replica inspired by his staff. This reproduction is distributed by
The Noble Collection.
At the start of The Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf refers to Saruman as "the leader of his order" and head of the White Council, which drove Sauron out of the Black Forest at the end of Bilbo the Hobbit. Gandalf adds that Saruman has great knowledge of the Rings of Power.
Saruman, magician sent to Middle-earth by the Valar in human form to fight against Sauron. Considered more powerful than Gandalf before he fell. Saruman is jealous of Gandalf. Gained by his lust for power, Saruman ends up allying himself with the Enemy in the secret hope of discovering the ring and keeping it for himself.
Gandalf tries to convince Saruman to join their side, to help them fight Sauron. But Saruman, disdainful and hateful, refuses to repent and scornfully rejects Gandalf's proposal. Gandalf, suddenly showing great authority, banishes Saruman from the Order of Magi, and with a word breaks the magician's staff, stripping him of his power and status.
Humiliated by Saroumane's refusal to release him and his violent beating, Gríma Langue de Serpent stabs the magician. Saruman falls from his tower, is impaled on a wheel and releases the Palantir.
