Finally, the percussion rifle, which replaced the flintlock rifle in the early 19th century.

Produced at a rate of 2 million units, it equipped all the infantrymen of the 1st Empire. The cinema used this version in several infantry battle scenes.
There is also the Land Pattern Musket 1722 of its nickname Brown Bess. Used during the wars of expansion of the British Empire, it has since acquired symbolic importance.
